NC to fly party flag at half-mast for three days to mourn the death of Budhathoki



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC), in an emergency meeting convened at the party central office in Sanepa this morning, decided to fly the party flag at half-mast for three days following the passing of leader Keshav Kumar Budhathoki.

The party extended this gesture of respect not only at the central office but also at state and district offices.

During the meeting, a condolence resolution was unanimously passed, expressing profound sorrow over the loss of central member and former minister Budhathoki.

Additionally, all scheduled programs have been postponed, and central, state, and district offices will remain closed on February 7.

As a tribute to the late leader, the Nepali Congress has arranged for a condolence book to be available in central, state, and district offices until the 13th day of Budhathoki’s death.

Expressing deep sadness and shock over his untimely demise, the Nepali Congress highlighted Budhathoki’s active and memorable contributions to the party’s history.

Budhathoki passed away last night while undergoing treatment at Birat Medical College in Biratnagar.
