KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ also the Chairman of CPN-Maoist Center, has stressed the unavoidable need for unity among Maoist factions to safeguard the transformative changes achieved through the people’s movement.

Speaking at the 14th annual general assembly of the Sahid Pratisthan Nepal in Paris Danda, the headquarters of the Maoist Center, Prime Minister Dahal called upon leaders and activists who have strayed from Maoist ideology to come together and collaborate.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to addressing the issues of martyrs, displaced individuals, and the injured, Prime Minister Dahal underscored the party’s responsibility in guiding these families to realize their aspirations.

“I will ensure that those still excluded from the list of martyrs are included. The state has provided support to the families of martyrs, the displaced, and the injured,” Dahal assured.

The Maoist Center Chairman presented the positive accomplishments of the Maoist party and its leadership, emphasizing economic prosperity, good governance, and social justice facilitated by the government.

He pointed out the government’s active role in concluding the remaining tasks of the peace process and expressed confidence in the consensus-based bills related to transitional justice passed during the conflict period.

He asserted that Nepal’s peace process serves as a ‘model’ for the international community.
