NC launches ‘Congress in the Community’ campaign starting today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is commencing its ‘Congress in the Community’ campaign across all districts of the country from today until February.

This campaign will include organizational strengthening, identification of civic issues, and various programs.

Under the campaign, the NC has adopted the slogan ‘Go to the Community, Listen to the People.’

According to Krishna Prasad Paudel, the General Secretary of the NC central office, the campaign will focus on gathering information about the flow of services in local bodies, development initiatives, and positive practices within the community.

The campaign will not involve formal speeches; instead, it aims to collect grievances and suggestions from the public, he added.

To ensure the coordination of the campaign, the NC has assigned central representatives to each district.

Paudel stated that there will be no rallies or formal declarations during the campaign. Instead, the focus will be on collecting feedback and suggestions from the grassroots level.

The party has included the campaign in its annual work schedule with the goal of organizational strengthening. The NC is set to hold its policy convention on February 19 (Falgun 7).
