BPKIHS dispute: High Court issues short-term order halting promotion of employees without PSC participation

KATHMANDU: BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) Dharan faces an interim court order against employee appointments and promotions without the participation of the Public Service Commission.

The Biratnagar High Court issued a short-term interim order, responding to a petition from Sanjay Kumar Mehta and representatives of the BPKIHS.

Judge Ganesh Prasad Baral, in an interim order, has summoned both parties for discussion on January 31.

The employees of BPKIHS have been in a protests for fair promotion procedures and other demands for the reformation at the institution.
