Activist Yuvraj Safal files complaint with Federal Parliament against Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: A complaint has been lodged within the Federal Parliament against Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), by self-proclaimed activist Yuvraj Safal.

The complaint, directed to the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Federal Parliament and Speaker Devraj Ghimire, seeks a comprehensive investigation into the alleged financial improprieties involving Ravi Lamichhane.

Safal has raised concerns about Lamichhane’s purported investment of Rs 52 million in Galaxy Television, where he also holds the position of Managing Director.

Safal asserts that such financial transactions warrant scrutiny and necessitate a thorough investigation.

Furthermore, Safal has brought attention to additional information, stating, “In addition to the revelation that a substantial amount from at least Rs 520 million, belonging to 35 thousand depositers, has been invested in Galaxy TV, evidence of Rs 18 million deposits from the cooperative has been traced to Lamichhane’s account..”

Safal has advocated for the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to probe into the matter surrounding Lamichhane’s cooperative fraud.
