KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial effect of westerly winds currently influencing Nepal.
As per the Division’s update, the weather is predominantly clear in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other areas are also experiencing mostly clear conditions.
However, certain locations in the Terai region are witnessing fog and mist.
In the afternoon, clear skies are expected to prevail in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
There is a potential for light snowfall at specific high-altitude points in the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
During the night, the weather is forecasted to be clear in the remaining hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
The Division has urged people to take precautions against the impending cold, anticipated due to fog and potential snowfall.
The temperature drop may impact daily routines, health, transportation, and air traffic, particularly in the Terai region.
