Four arrested with rhino horn



SUNSARI: Four individuals were arrested in possession of rhinoceros horn from Barju Rural Municipality–6 last night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Armed Police Force, seized the horn, according to Superintendent Shyam Karki of the Armed Police Force No. 4 Battalion, Sunsari.

Police said the suspects were intercepted near a local lake in Barju–6 while allegedly transporting the horn from Jhapa. One rhinoceros horn and two motorcycles were recovered from them.

Authorities have withheld the identities of the arrested individuals, citing the ongoing investigation and the possibility of a wider network involved in the illegal wildlife trade.
