Development agenda should be pursued through consensus: DPM Khadka

SURKHET: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has underscored on pursuing the development agenda on consensus as it is the responsibility of all to make Karnali province prosperous.

Addressing the inaugural session of the 34th National Men’s Volleyball Championship at Birendranagar today, DPM Khadka called on the politicians to expedite the development using all their strength and taking support of the people along. He urged the political leaders to be united for development with new commitment.

According to him, although the parties and their leaders might have differences in terms of political ideology, they should forge the minimum understanding for the development and prosperity of the province.
He added that understanding is being reached with investors for the development of hydroelectricity in the province.

DPM Khadka said that Karnali province which has the responsibility of organizing the 10th National Games doing so successfully with the initiatives of all sides. He also lauded the efforts of the province government in building the stadium, saying the federal government will also manage budget to that end.

Seven provinces and three departmental teams are participating in the 34th National Men’s Volleyball Championship.
