Server glitch halts labor approval service of DOFE

KATHMANDU: The capital witnessed a disruption in the issuance of online labor permits lasting two days as a consequence of a server malfunction within the Department of Foreign Employment (DOFE).

The interruption arose from a necessary repair operation targeting the server of the Foreign Employment Information Management System (FEMIS), operated by the department. New institutional and individual labor approvals, alongside re-approvals, were halted since Sunday due to this server complication, effectively suspending these online processes.

In response to this unforeseen server issue, the department released a notice acknowledging the need for server repairs and extended apologies for the inconvenience caused to users reliant on their services.
