Light snowfall expected in high hilly and mountainous regions

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted partly cloudy weather in the hilly region with a possibility of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country today, influenced by the Westerly wind.

As of now, the hilly region is experiencing partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the regions are generally fair. The forecast indicates partly cloudy weather in the hilly region, with chances of light snowfall at selected locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces in the afternoon today.

Looking ahead to Friday, the forecast suggests partly cloudy conditions in the hilly region and generally fair weather in the remaining regions, with the potential for light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

In the past 24 hours, Kathmandu recorded a maximum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.3 degrees Celsius, according to the Division.
