KATHMANDU: The Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee (NCDDC) has stated that 10:51 a.m. on November 15 has been identified as the most auspicious time for Bhai Tika during the Tihar festival this year.
The Committee, a government-authorized body responsible for setting dates and times for festivals celebrated in the country, made the announcement.
While Bhai Tika can be exchanged between sisters and brothers throughout the day on November 15, Surya Prasad Dhungel, the Executive Director of the Committee, has emphasized that 10:51 a.m. holds particular significance.
This year, the Tihar festival is scheduled to begin on November 11 and is the second most significant festival for the majority Hindu population in Nepal, after the Dashain festival.
