Hearing on rape case involving Sandeep Lamichhane postponed

KATHMANDU: The scheduled hearing for the minor rape case involving cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been postponed today.

The Kathmandu District Court’s hearing slated for today was delayed due to an inadequate number of available judges.

As per the Information Officer, Deepak Dahal, only 21 out of the 30 judges assigned to the District Court were present.

Dahal further disclosed that of the nine absent judges, six are awaiting transfers while the remaining three judges are currently on leave.
