Nepali Embassy in Israel coordinates safe transfer for Nepali citizens following Hamas attack

KATHMANDU: In the aftermath of an attack by Hamas militants in Israel, the Nepali Embassy in Israel has taken swift action to ensure the safety and well-being of Nepali citizens affected by the incident.

At present, 10 Nepali students who sustained injuries in the attack are receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Tel Aviv.

It should be noted that 10 Nepali students lost their lives in the attack.

The attack occurred at the Alumim farm, located within the Sedot Negev Agriculture Center in southern Israel. In response, the Nepali Embassy issued a statement confirming the arrival of some Nepali students in Tel Aviv and outlining ongoing efforts to transfer Nepali students and workers to safer locations.

Coordinated efforts involving the Nepali government, training providers, employers, the Israeli Nepali community, and other stakeholders are underway to facilitate the transfer of Nepali citizens to more secure areas.

Additionally, preparations are being made to repatriate them to Nepal.

Tragically, among those affected by the attack were individuals who had recently arrived in Israel as part of the “Learn and Earn” program. Regrettably, ten people lost their lives in the attack perpetrated by the Palestinian Hamas group.

The Nepali Embassy in Israel remains committed to providing assistance and support to Nepali citizens in the wake of this unfortunate incident, it said.

The following is the list of Nepali students killed in the attack in Israel.
