NC president Deuba expresses sadness over Bajhang earthquake damages



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the incidences of the death of a person, some persons missing, and scores of others being injured due to the earthquake that occurred in Bajhang on Tuesday.

Expressing sadness over the incident, the NC president, through a press note, extended sympathies on behalf of the party and his own to the sensibilities of all the affected people.

President Deuba urged the government to carry out rescue works on a war footing, promptly search for the missing people, relocate the earthquake-affected people to safe areas, and to actively involved in providing medical treatment to the injured and relief to the affected people.

He also urged the party rank and file to actively get down to rescue and relief works and appealed to all local sisters and brothers to face this disaster with fortitude and unity.
