World Tourism Day being marked today



KATHMANDU: The 44th World Tourism Day is being celebrated by organizing various programs in Nepal today.

On the occasion of the day (September 27), the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board and Department of Tourism and other organizations in the tourism sector are celebrating the day by holding various programs.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, World Tourism Day is being celebrated in Nepal with the slogan “Tourism and Green Investment”.

To celebrate the day, a Main Ceremony Committee has been formed under the coordination of Tourism Minister Sudan Kirati.

According to Ministry Spokesman Rajendra Kumar KC, the Minister of Tourism welcomed foreign tourists arriving from the first flight at Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.

Similarly, a rally will be organized from Patan Dhoka of Lalitpur to Mangalbazar today morning.
