KATHMANDU: After a long gap, there has been a double-digit increase in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
According to NEPSE, the stock market index rose by 10.23 points to 1942.68 on Sunday.
4.314 million shares worth 1.7 billion rupees were bought and sold in the stock market today.
Apart from the hydropower group, 12 sub-indices have turned positive today. The sub-index of the trading group increased by 1.67 percent, while the sub-index of the hotel and tourism group increased by 1.27 percent and the sub-index of the finance group increased by 1 percent. The sub-indices of other groups increased by 1 percent less. The sub-index of Hydropower Group decreased by 0.14 percent today.
The share price of Suryodaya Omi Microfinance had a positive circuit, while the share price of Shivam Power Limited and Nyadi Hydropower Limited increased by 9.99 percent and 9.98 percent respectively. On the other hand, the share price of Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company decreased by 7.81 percent on Sunday.
