BARDIYA: An inmate has escaped from the Gulariya-based Bardiya Prison.
As police reported, Ajit Budhachhetri managed to jump off the prison roof despite a tall barbed wire surrounding the roof wall. The incident happened at around 3:0 am on Sunday.
District Police Office, Bardiya’s deputy superintendent of police, Hikmat Bahadur Bohora, said Thapa was serving a 30-year jail term for his role in the murder of Jora Singh Thapa of Thakurbaba-8 in 2071 BS.
