KATHMANDU: The Gokarneshwor Municipality of Kathmandu district has closed schools for four days citing the rising cases of conjunctivitis.
Issuing a notice, the municipality informed that all schools would remain closed from August 15 to August 18.
The municipality took this decision after the school teachers, employees and students began suffering from the eye disease, according to Municipality Mayor Dip Kumar Risal.
Conjunctivitis has been spreading in many parts of the country of late, resulting in the closure of schools to avoid its further spread.
