How to remove pesticides from vegetables?

KATHMANDU:  Customers prefer to buy vegetables looking shiny and fresh. But vegetables having such types of looks may contain excessive amount of pesticides, too, according to experts.

Vegetables looking less shiny, slightly damaged by insects and having curved or unusual shapes may have less amount of pesticides.

According to experts, if the vegetables are put in the refrigerators for few days before using, the amount of pesticides will come down. Similarly if the vegetables containing pesticides are put in salty water for half-an hour, the amount of pesticides will be reduced.
