KATHMANDU: The central and western Terai areas, which have been enduring relentless heat, are expected to see consistent temperatures for the next few days.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the Terai region is not expected to receive any rainfall in the near future, indicating that the hot weather will persist for the next couple of days.

There is a gradual decrease in temperature anticipated in the eastern belt of the eastern Terai and Madhesh provinces.

According to Division, there is a possibility of cloud accumulation and rainfall in the eastern belt of the East Terai and Madhesh Provinces.

However, the central and western Terai regions are expected to continue experiencing hot weather for the next few days.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of light rain in the hilly areas in the evening.

As of now, the monsoon air that arrived in Kerala on Thursday has not yet entered Nepal.

Due to the inactivity of local winds, the current weather conditions suggest that there is no chance of rain in the near future. Consequently, the temperature is expected to remain the same as it was yesterday.

On Friday, the Division reported that temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius were recorded in Janakpur, Simara, and Bhairahawa.
