KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that he should go to the ground level to find answers to the questions raised within the party.
Speaking at Nepal Press Union’s first Valley and Province Convention in Kathmandu on Friday, the NC General Secretary pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen the party addressing the existing problems and giving an impression of certainty in the future.
Thapa remarked that NC got votes but it is losing the trust of the people and it’s high time to address it.
“The country cannot be changed without changing NC,” he said adding, “I have been assuming that the President works for it.”
Leader Thapa warned that the arbitrariness of the leadership would not be acceptable when it went against the party’s interest.
“Things that are not in the interest of the party can no longer be tolerated. People who change their minds, change their opinions, return,” the NC General Secretary said, adding, “If there is a problem with the character, then the character should be changed, if there is a problem with the attitude, then the attitude should be changed.”
