KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 8.71 billion for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) for the new fiscal year.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced the Ministry’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/81 at the joint meeting of the federal parliament today.

In the current financial year, a budget of Rs 8.59 billion had been allocated for the MoCIT.
