Nepal sees 51 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, active cases 147

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 51 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases 41 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 16 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,902 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the tested  cases 669 were tested through RT-PCR method and 1,233 were tested through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 147 active cases in the country as 26 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country has been 12,031 to date.
