NA passes condolence proposal



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has passed a condolence motion on the passing away of House of Representatives former member Tejman Tumbahamphe.

The motion presented by Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina was unanimously passed by the meeting of the upper house of the Federal Parliament.

Tumbahamphe who played a leading role in the movement for establishing democracy and its reinstatement died on April 7. He was 97. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Dhankuta electoral constituency in the parliamentary election in 2015 BS on a Nepali Congress ticket.

The National Assembly will next meet at 2.31pm on April 18.
