Education Ministry asks to run a student enrollment campaign within May 30

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has called on local levels and schools to launch a campaign in order to complete school-level student enrollment campaign within May 30 for the academic session 2080 BS.

The Centre for Education and Human Resources Development under the Ministry has already sent a circular to run the student enrollment campaign for academic session- 2080 under the theme ‘Timely Enrolment, Timely Education: Quality Education, Campaign of All.’

In the context of the campaign, a discussion among heads and office-bearers of the Association of District Coordination Committees of Nepal, Municipal Association of Nepal, National Association of Rural Municipalities in Nepal, and Education Ministry was held on April 13 in presence of the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai, had decided to jointly launch the campaign by federation, provinces and local levels to enroll all children above five years to school.

Ministry Spokesperson Deepak Sharma said Janak Education Material Centre and private organizations selected for printing textbooks have been urged to provide textbooks free of cost to students of all community schools at the beginning of the academic session.
Local levels would monitor this.
