Policy issues in Advertisement sector will be addressed soon: Minister Rijal

KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramesh Rijal pledged to support the advertisement industry by putting in place appropriate policies.

Addressing the general assembly of the National Advertisement Association here today, Minister Rijal asserted, “Foreign goods are sold here but not advertised. The government will bring this issue under the scope of law and will support in publicity of the foreign goods through advertisement related policy.”

He suggested the Association to further streamline the advertisement sector and take it forward in an advanced way.

Similarly, Dharmendra Kaji Shrestha, President of the Ad Hoc Committee of the Association, shared that the Association was working in the best interest of the advertisement agencies across the country and pledged to do so in coming days as well.

“We, in a short span of time, left no stone unturned to address the problem facing our member agencies. We are effortful to earn foreign currency by attracting foreign advertisements,” added Shrestha.

The general-assembly will elect a new executive committee for two-year term.
