NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 153.98 and the selling rate at Rs 154.58.

The buying rate for one euro has been fixed at Rs 173.17 and the selling rate at Rs 173.84. Similarly, the buying rate for one British pound sterling is Rs 203.95 and the selling rate is Rs 204.75, while the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 185.24 for buying and Rs 185.96 for selling.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 107.32 and the selling rate is Rs 107.74. The Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.91 for buying and Rs 108.33 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 120.44 for buying and Rs 120.91 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.73 and the selling rate is Rs 9.77. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.97 for buying and Rs 23.06 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 41.02/Rs 41.18 and the Qatari riyal at Rs 42.24/Rs 42.41 for buying and selling, respectively.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.58 and the selling rate is Rs 4.60. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.93/Rs 42.09, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.69/Rs 37.84, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 11.50/Rs 11.55 for buying and selling, respectively.

The buying rate for one Swedish krona is Rs 15.39 and the selling rate is Rs 15.45, while the Danish krone has been fixed at Rs 23.17 for buying and Rs 23.26 for selling.

Similarly, the Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.62 for buying and Rs 19.70 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 499.69/Rs 501.64, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 408.41/Rs 410.00, and the Omani rial at Rs 399.95/Rs 401.51 for buying and selling, respectively.

The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s rates, with updated rates available on the bank’s website.
