Strengthening country’s economy will be first priority: FM Mahat

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said strengthening the country’s economy would be his first priority.

“The government is engaged in the preparation of budget for the coming fiscal year. The main focus of the budget will be strengthening the economy,” he stated.

Speaking with the office-bearers of Editors Society of Nepal today, he stated that government’s Common Minimum Programme (CMP) would be brought at the consensus of the ruling alliance parties.
