CM Giri inspects proposed Lumbini Tech University construction site



NEPALGUNJ: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Leela Giri, made an on-site visit to the construction site of the proposed Lumbini Technical University at Khajura rural municipality in Banke district today.

Preparation was afoot to take forward the process to acquire 81 bigha of land at wards no 7 and 37 of the rural municipality. Locals suggested inspecting CM Giri to deliver on the University project taking them into consideration.

Stating that the proposed University was a pride project to Lumbini Project, Giri asserted that it would contribute to producing technical human resources and thus, he called for, cooperation from all quarters towards this end.

Similarly, Khajura rural municipality chairperson Dabbar BK shared that once the construction works of the University would start, they will address the concerns relating to the locals residing in the proposed construction site.

The University’s senate meeting is being held today in Nepalgunj.

The meeting is scheduled to decide on the appointment of members in the Technical University Service Commission and additional budget with the provincial government for the University, it is said.
