Police arrest 23 people for illegally operating call center in Janakpur

Police arrested 23 people from an illegally-operated call center in Janakpurdham. According to the District Police Office Dhanusha, police arrested 14 men and 9 women involved in running a call center on the second floor of Bir Bahadur Raut’s house near Pidari Chowk.

Gold price in Nepal saw an increase today

Gold prices in Nepal increased on Tuesday with a tola of fine gold costing Rs 109,000, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. The Association said standard gold is traded at Rs 108,500 per tola — Rs 500 less than fine gold.

UML pulls out of Madhesh Province government

The CPN-UML has quit the Madhesh Province Government with a change in the political equation in federal politics. The UML ministers resigned en masse today and it was endorsed by Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav. The UML had four ministers and one minister of state in the provincial government.

NA endorses two bills

National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament, today unanimously endorsed the Public Service Broadcasting Bill, 2077 BS, and the Bill Related to Security Printing, 2077 BS. Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Beduram Bhusal presented a proposal in the upper house meeting seeking the endorsement of the two bills on behalf of Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma.

Province govt eager to develop Thori as tourist hub: Minister Yadav

Minister for Industry, Tourism and Forest in Madhes Province, Sunita Yadav, has said province government was eager to develop Thori as a tourist hub. Minister Yadav viewed a perspective plan was being made to develop Thori as a tourism hub of entire country.

Petrol to cost Rs 175 per liter from today

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the proce of different petroleum products from today. According to NOC, price of diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel deceased by Rs 10 per litre while petrol’s price is reduced by Rs 3 per litre.

NRB unveils Cryptocurrency Risk Assessment Report

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has unveiled the Cryptocurrency Risk Assessment Report today. In the Report the country’s central bank has concluded that cryptocurrency cannot be brought into use as a transaction in it would be financially risky. Cryptocurrency transaction is banned by the existing laws of Nepal.
