Govt’s first priority to establish sustainable peace: DPM Khadka



PATAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has said the incumbent government would establish sustainable peace by protecting the country and strengthening the federal democratic republic.

Visiting the Bhattarai Ashram at Badegaun in Lalitpur today, Deputy Prime Minister Khadka opined that maintaining sustainable development, completing the remaining task of the peace process, and achieving economic prosperity on the basis of sustainable peace were the priorities of the incumbent government.

Upgrading Nepal to a middle-income country within a certain year by making economic growth of the nation and Nepali citizens was the government’s priority, he mentioned.

DPM Khadka also expressed commitment to uniting all the parties in and out of the parliament.

He laid emphasis that the incumbent government would move ahead with a sentiment of unity for the sake of the country’s self-respect, security, and people’s welfare by incorporating all parties in a common minimum program.

On the occasion, he garlanded the statue of founding members of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai at the Ashram premises.
