NC decides to withdraw support from Koshi govt



BIRATNAGAR: The Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party in Koshi Province has decided to withdraw its support for the provincial government.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party held on Wednesday. Following the breakdown of cooperation between the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML, the UML-led government remains in power in the province.

According to Nepali Congress Chief Whip Gopal Tamang, the parliamentary party decided to withdraw its support for the government at Wednesday’s meeting.

He said the Nepali Congress will now play the role of a constructive opposition in the provincial parliament.
