Coronavirus cases soar again in Nepal,142 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 142 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases 44 were tested through RT-PCR method and  98 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,079 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them 381 swabs were tested through RT-PCR method and 698 through Antigen method.

There are 163 active cases in Nepal as four infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
