DPM Shrestha hints at economic reforms measures soon

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha has promised to embrace positive interventions to bring about reforms in the economy with partnership between the government and private sector.

He said necessary steps would be initiated by taking the private sector on board for the recovery of the worsening economic condition of the country.

The government was in favour of maintaining good-governance, capacity building for increasing capital expenditure and substitute imports by increasing productions in the country.

“The government is always ready for cooperation with the private sector along with needed policy provisions for the betterment of people’s livelihood in the country through socio-economic transformation,: he said.

He said the government would take serious and effective measures for the reforms in the economy after the completion of the cabinet expansion.
