Jeep knocks pedestrian to death in Damak



DAMAK: A pedestrian died when a jeep knocked him at Kamal rural municipality-4, Sitapuri of Jhapa along the East-West Highway last night.

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Bahadur Rai, 40, of Kamal-5.

The jeep (Me 1 Ja 1942) en route to the eastern direction had knocked Rai while he was crossing the road.

Rai died on the spot, shared Information Officer of District Police Office, DSP Khagendra Prasad Rijal.

Police had arrested jeep driver Pemba Tamang, 32, of Ilam municipality-2 this morning from Birtamod-based Bus Park.
