President Paudel attends Ghodejatra celebrations

President Ram Chandra Paudel on Tuesday attended this year’s Ghodejatra celebrations organized at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

As part of the ceremony, different performances including the pony horse race, charger horse race and other shows were performed by the NA personnel.

Prior to this, President Paudel offered a floral tribute at the martyrs’ memorial and, a parade of commander presented lance to the President.

Govt. will get full-shape soon: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said a process to give full-shape to the government has started.

Laying the stone foundation for Panthadihi-Katahare-Harmi-Sahiltar road upgradation project at Harmi of Gorkha today, Prime Minister Dahal shared that discussion has begun with other parties including Nepali Congress to give full-shape to the government soon after getting the vote of confidence.

Parties should overcome partisanship in transitional justice: Gagan Thapa

Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that all political parties should resolve the issue of peace process and transitional justice without looking at the immediate profit and loss.

In a program held in memory of NC leader Girija Prasad Koirala on Tuesday, he said that there is no time to prolong the peace process in this or that name.

“We have to try to address this issue beyond party narrowness and immediate profit loss, we don’t have the convenience of time,” Thapa said.

Saying that it is too late to finish the issue of transitional justice, he also asked CPN-UML to cooperate.

End caste-based discrimination, urges UML Chair Oli

CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has urged one and all to be active from their respective places to end inhuman practice of caste and racial based discrimination and untouchability.

In a message on the occasion of 58th International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination today, Chair Oli shared that it was necessary to launch awareness campaign from all walks of life of the society to end racial discrimination.
