Rainfall blesses various parts of country



KATHMANDU: The local wind coupled with Westerly wind has its general influence across the country at present.

The weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country due to this and light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at a few places in the hilly region, the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

Meteorologist at the Division, Govinda Kumar Jha said presently the weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country including in Kathmandu Valley. There are chances of light to medium intermittent rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the hilly and Tarai regions towards the afternoon.

“A new weather system has entered from the western parts via the sky over Dipayal, Dhangadhi. Rain-causing clouds with thunder and cloudy conditions have formed due to this. This system will remain until the afternoon,” Jha said.

The Division said there is possibility of light to medium rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the hilly region and some places of the Tarai in the next two or three days.

Dadeldhura recorded three millimeters rain while rainfall is taking place in Taplejung and Jumla, among the districts.
