KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the party should make a formal decision on joining the CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’-led government and join the ruling side prior to Prime Minister Dahal’s seeking vote of confidence in the parliament.

Speaking to the media after voting in the vice presidential election on Friday, General Secretary Thapa said that Prime Minister his party should make its stance clear at the earliest.

According to NC leader Thapa, NC should decide to join on the side of the ruling party, go to the government and give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal before the next meeting of the parliament.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for March 19.

Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to take a vote of confidence on March 20.

The NC General Secretary claimed that the government will be complete as soon as Prime Minister Dahal takes the vote of confidence.
