NSU to host Nepal Hackathon

KATHMANDU: A Hackathon is going to be hosted by the central committee of Nepal Students Union (NSU), a sister organization of the Nepali Congress.

The event is going to be held at Pulchok Campus from coming February 28 to March 2 under the auspices of NSU central committee and co-organized by NSU Pulchok Campus unit.

Hackathon is an event that brings together individuals from various backgrounds and different stages in their careers (from students to experienced professionals) to solve problems of common interest.

President of NSU President Dujang Sherpa shared that the hackathon to be held at Pulchok Campus will see deliberations on the problems faced by common citizens and ways to resolve them.

Solutions to existing problems such as long queues and frequent server downs in the public office providing driving license and passport, in cargo, delays in the university examination and the uncertainty of publishing results, and errors during share transactions will be sought through the hackathon.

Through the hackathon program, scientific experiments will be carried out to see how the increasing problem of pollution and waste management in cities across the country including Kathmandu can be solved with technical assistance, said Sherpa.
