The ruling Maoist Center is likely to support Nepali Congress (NC) candidate for the post of the President. The party is making a formal decision soon in this regard, a party source said. Money Laundering prevention bill tabled in HoR

A bill designed to amend some acts related to ‘Prevention of Money Laundering and Promotion of Business Environment-2079’ has been tabled at the House of the Representatives. Presenting the proposal in today’s HoR meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan, said that the bill was tabled as it was necessary to take action against those involved in financial crime and evading tax.

Three held with counterfeit notes in Banke

Police have nabbed three persons for carrying counterfeit notes worth Rs 500,000 from Nepalgunj in Banke district. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ram Prasad Gharti said that the arrestees are Mohan Kumai, 33, of Kolapur Municipality-11, Dipak BC, 37, of Turmakhand Rural Municipality-3 in Achham district and 30-year-old Mohan Rana of Bangand Kupinde Municipality-5 in Salyan district.
