KATHMANDU: Leaders of ruling CPN-UML party have expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s decision to announce public holiday on the occasion of People’s War Day”.
The government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is also the chairman of Maoist Center, has given a public holiday today (Monday) to commemorate “People’s War Day”.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has said it was unnecessary to announce a holiday on this day.
“The highest achievement of the people’s struggle after 1990 is the establishment of the republic,” he said.
