NMA to halt all health services except emergency on Sunday

In protest against manhandling of doctors on Friday, the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has decided to halt all health services, except emergency ones, in all health institutions across the country on Sunday. A meeting of the NMA held on Saturday decided to halt all services in protest of the manhandling of a doctor by a police during President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s carcade on Friday.

Police constable accused of assaulting doctor suspended

Senior police constable Shambhu Gurung who beat Dr. Zenith Singh, a doctor working at the National Trauma Center, has been suspended on Saturday. According to Nepal Police Spokesperson Poshraj Pokharel, senior constable Gurung has been suspended.

Nepal Samajbadi Party to get united with Maoist Center
