Kathmandu Metropolis removes structure used as Maitidevi police post



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has demolished the structures used as police station at Maitidevi, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

As part of the Metropolis campaign to remove encroaching structures, the police beat at Maiti Devi Chowk was removed by the city police in collaboration with the police.

According to Metropolitan Police Chief Raju Pandey, the building is about to be vacated and removed.

“We are going to remove the police beat in cooperation with the police, it is part of our campaign to remove structures that were constructed without the Metropolis’ consent,” he said.
