Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City provides all services related to blood for free



BUTWAL: The Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has decided to ensure all services related to blood for free to the city dwellers in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Service Centre.

An agreement on this issue was signed between the Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Khelraj Pandey and the President of Nepal Red Cross Society, Rupandehi, Prem Lal Udas.

With this, the residents of Butwal city would get blood and blood-related elements for free for their treatment in the hospitals of Rupandehi district.

Mayor Pandey said that the agreement includes forging collaboration to provide a sufficient quantity of blood in need, run health care camps and conducting awareness-raising campaigns to motivate people to blood donation.

Following the agreement, the residents of Butwal will enjoy free services on blood for their treatment in any of the hospitals in Rupandehi district.

Economically underprivileged people would benefit the most from the agreement, it is said.
