PM Dahal holding a discussion on right to information today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is holding a discussion on matters relating to right to information with the stakeholders today (Monday).

The Prime Minister is also discussing about the decision made by the Information Classification Committee regarding which information to be made public and which not.

The discussion is being organized after the stakeholders drew the attention of the Prime Minister towards the decision taken by the Committee, said the Prime Minister press expert Manohari Timilsina.

The Committee had taken the decision on December 27. The decision by the committee was reportedly taken without consulting with the higher authorities about the same.

The government’s serious attention has been drawn towards the concerns expressed by various quarters regarding the decision taken by the Committee, said Timilsina.

Necessary decision will be taken to address the problem after discussing with the stakeholders today.
