US Embassy “saddened” by tragic Yeti Airlines crash



KATHMANDU: The Embassy of the United States in Kathmandu has said it is “deeply saddened” by the tragic Yeti Airlines crash in Pokhara this morning.

“We are monitoring the situation carefully. We are currently not aware of any U.S. citizens on board. Our hearts go out to the victims and families,” the Embassy said on Sunday.

The aircraft, which was flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara with 72 people, including four crew members, crashed near Pokhara Airport.
