UML Chair Oli meets President Bhandari



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Oli has met President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Sheetal Niwas, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Wednesday morning.

According to sources, the discussion was held on contemporary issues including the election of President and Vice-President. The meeting lasted for about two hours.

The ruling party Chairman’s meeting with the President at a time while the Election Commission is making preparations for the presidential election is regarded as meaningful.

UML Chair Oli had a separate discussion with party senior Vice-Chair Ishwar Pokharel and Subas Nembang on Tuesday.

Oli who had been to Baluwatar to hold discussion with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’Prachanda’ on Tuesday had a discussion with Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav in Balkota after returning from Baluwatar.

Sources said that the UML Chair had met Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden on Tuesday.
