JANAKPUR: The State 2 government has launched Public Service Commission (PSC) exam preparation classes for women today as part of its ‘educate daughters, save daughters campaign’.

A total of 101 women have been included under the first phase of the preparation classes. Inaugurating the classes, Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut said that the preparation classes have been aimed at ensuring women’s access to civil service.

Maintaining that social transformation was the state government’s topmost priority, CM Raut said programs such as cycle distribution for girls, girls education insurance scheme, and construction of girls-friendly toilets at the community schools were aimed at supporting the ‘educate daughters, save daughters campaign’.

He further informed that the State Government has also taken a policy of guaranteeing 50 percent reservation for women in civil service and police.
