Govt attorney’s national conference to kick off on December 23



KATHMANDU: The fourth national conference of the government attorneys is to kick start on December 23 in Kathmandu.

The three-day event shall delve into status of implementation of new laws including Criminal Code and the challenges surfaced in the implementation of those laws, the Office of the Attorney General said.

Likewise, the third five-year strategic plan of the Office of the Attorney General would be reviewed and efforts taken for make it more effective.

Institutional development of Office of the Attorney General, physical infrastructure development and future plans would also be discussed.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the three-day event at City Hall in Kathmandu.

As high as 465 government attorneys would attend the conference while officials from the Office of the Chief Attorney, Nepal Bar Association, Nepal Police and other stakeholders would join the event as observers.
