Festivals help reinvigorate sense of unity: CM Rai



BIRATNAGAR: Province-1 Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar Rai has extended best wishes to all Nepali people on the occasion of Kiranti people’s grand festival Udhauli, Limbu people’s grand festival Chasok Tangnam and Newari’s Yamari Punhi that fall on full moon day of Marga (November-December) every year.

In a message of best wishes today, he said, “Festivals being celebrated by different castes, languages, religions and communities in multi-lingual, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural Nepal are our capitals”.

Unity among diversity is our beauty and strength as well, the message reads.

It is the shared responsibility of all Nepali people to show mutual respect to the religion, culture and festival of one another, he said, adding it would help consolidate our national unity.
